The 39th edition of the Lokerse Feesten will take place from Friday 2 August until Sunday 11 August 2013. Earlier announcements included artist like BEADY EYE, SNOOP DOGG aka SNOOP LION, EMPIRE OF THE SUN, IGGY & THE STOOGES, MOTÖRHEAD, DEEP PURPLE and ALICE COOPER. Lokerse Feesten 2013: Beady Eye (5 aug)
We are extremely proud to announce that the magnificent BEADY EYE will give an exclusive performance at the LF on Monday 5 August, before leaving for the Summersonic festival in Japan. Liam Gallagher (to many, including to us, the best lead singer in the last 20 years), Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock prove that they are even more alive and kicking after Oasis. Two years after their debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ we can expect their new album ‘BE’ in June. For this album they worked together with Dave Sitek (TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs), and the first single from the album ‘Flick Of The Finger’ is a more than impressive introduction. We have had the opportunity to listen to the album and are more than convinced. The future gets written today!

After announcing metal heroes like MOTÖRHEAD, DEEP PURPLE, ALICE COOPER and MONSTER MAGNET we are happy to announce 6 very different acts this time, ranging from the protopunk of Iggy & The Stooges, to the Snoop’s smoking funk and reggae and the perfect pop of the magnificent Empire Of The Sun. Without forgetting our younger festival goers who will get a real treat with bands like Enter Shikari, Yellowcard and Far East Movement.
