Frontman, Mauro Pawlowski, rants like a priest-magician on acid in his newest project Gruppo di Pawlowski. It may sound more like a collective exorcism session than actually singing, but experts can hear the avantgarde and noise rock influences and recognize the antics of the destructive live shows of Pussy Galore, The Birthday Party of Scratch Acid and always-going-all-the-way style of Captain Beefheart. Pawlowski is definitely one of a kind in Belgium. He’s our very own Alex Chilton, Mike Patton, John Cale or Roky Erickson: a genius on the inside, but a scary devil on the outside. It will be quite a show on Monday 5 August.
