LENNY LENNY

We’ve already announced a Lenny gig. Well, ticket sales went so well that we’ve decided to announce a double dose of Lenny straight away: LENNY LENNY this time. I wouldn’t rush to the record shop just yet: Lenny Lenny is such a new band that the paint’s still wet.  But still, new? The Lenny from Lenny Lenny is none other than the man who rescued the wild curly-haired guy from the uncool clutches of Jon Bon Jovi back in 1983: Lennert Coorevits!  You know, the one from Compact Disk Dummies, the band for whom you’d line up with your children, your parents, a few cousins and all your neighbours, heading for the festival grounds to let their brilliant electro-punk beats blow the curls out of your hair. As Lenny Lenny, however, Coorevits opts for the summery sounds of the 70s. And when we think of summer in the 70s, we picture bike rides along empty motorways accompanied by the heavenly melodies of Wings, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, The Band, Harry Nilsson or The Raspberries. Although we tend to see Coorevits as a sort of West Flemish Beck. We’re curious, and we know you are too. See you at the Club on Tuesday 4 August. A pleasure to meet you in advance; my name is ‘announcer-of-the-Lokerse-festivities’, but on that day, for the occasion, I’ll be known as ‘announcer-of-the-Lokerse-festivities announcer-of-the-Lokerse-festivities’.
