The 36th edition of the Lokerse Feesten will be from Friday, July 30th till Sunday, August 8th 2010.
By popular and massive demand, the LF will hold a heavy rock & metal day for the first time on Sunday, August 1st 2010. The first 3 names are Alice Cooper, Papa Roach and Anthrax.
Later on, 2 more names will be added to the line up. This festival day will exceptionally start early (18h). Pre sales start now.
ALICE COOPER
Legendary founder of the glam and shock rock and one of the most influential names in the metal and hardrock world. His fan base varies from Johnny Rotten to Bob Dylan. After 40 years, live, still a guarantee for very theatrical spectacles. The perfect headliner for the first LF metal day.
PAPA ROACH
Leading figures and one of the few survivors of the nu-metal scene (together with a.o. Korn and Limp Bizkit). Had an enormous cross-over hit with “Last Resort” and the album “Infest”. Collaborated with a.o. Black Eyed Peas and N.E.R.D. Still big live-favourites at any metal and alternative festival.
ANTHRAX
Speed and thrash metal pioneers, and one of The Big Four, together with Metallica, Slayer and Megadeth, with whom they will tour this year. Received public acclaim with their collaboration with Public Enemy on “Bring The Noise”. One of the absolute legends for metalheadz.
